If today were the 18th, thus marking 3 months of the weight loss reboot, I could had another 1.5 pounds to the weight loss. Sigh... Just means I'll show a big weight loss for next month (hopefully).
I could tell last night that things were changing as despite moving furniture around all day, my ankles were slimmer in the evening. I could tell there was less puffiness. My rings this morning were sliding around a bit where they were feeling snuggish the last few days. Sure enough, scale showed a 1.5 loss from yesterday. Thus, my monthly WHOOSH!!! has begun!
What am I going to do to stall it a day? I'm going to eat canned beans and salsa tonight for dinner which ALWAYS make me hold water weight! Yay!?!!? Looks something like this:
Super yummy, super healthy, a bit high sodium.
Then this weekend I'm going to a training where they are feeding us. That should be interesting. I'll bring my own lunch and just deal with their dinners. I have no idea what it will be, but I can keep it within calories if I don't eat their provided lunch.
I'm just ready to move beyond this weight.... 1 pound to get to a new low!!!!
My dad died from a heart attack at 42 and I was heading for a similar fate. Worked for 2 years to get fit and lost all the weight, but I cound't keep the weight off. For an additional 2 years I stumbled, but never got my feet under me. In April in 2018 I had a stroke at 48 years old. I simply had to get healthier. I'm less confident, more scared about ever leading the health life I want to live. I have stumbled so many times.

And so the water weight starts to go!
The last few days on the scale:
Down half a pound from the day before.
Down nothing from the day before.
Down almost a pound next day.
Down almost 2 pounds from the day before.
Almost 3 pounds in 3 days.
The first week post vacation I lost a wee bit (2 pounds). My calorie count was lower, but I was having a bit of cake, which is more sugars than I'm used to.
Then, I got rid of the cake, but for two days in a row I made food with homemade salsa. And for whatever reason, I always hold water (a lot of water) when I eat salsa. So, I didn't drop a single ounce the second day of that (dropped half a pound the first day - which was surprising and that must have meant I was dropping glycogen weight more than I was holding salsa water weight).
Then, I dropped the salsa and the water weight finally started to flush away, quite literally.
I'm still half a pound higher than I was 2 weeks ago, but I also think that one weigh in was a total blip as it was over one pound lower than it was the day before. So, I'm going to think (now) that I'm in new territory for weight loss (again).
And I feel great and it's easy again. NO MORE SUGARS!!! I'll have to be ultra vigilant during the winter!
Of course, most of this weight is FAT, but I'm working on it! This cartoon made me laugh, though!
